Maya Angelou

I just read 2 chapters of a book written by Maya Angelou. What caught my eye was this short part, "Theresa, we don't mean to disturb you..." the man whispered, "but you all seem to be having such a good time..."
The woman added, "we hear you and your friends laughing every Saturday night, and we'd just like to watch you. We don't want to bother you. We'll be quiet and just watch."
The man said, "If you'll just leave your door ajar, your friends don't need to know. We'll never make a sound." Aunt Tee said she saw no harm in agreeing, and she talked it over with her company. They said it was OK with them, but it was sad that the employers owned the gracious house, the swimming pool, three cars, and numberless palm trees, but had no joy. Aunt Tee told me that laughter and relaxation had left the house; she agreed it was.

I think that was a lesson that money and power doesn't bring happiness and joy. you don't have to live wealthy and good to live well. Just to love life. Living life as art requires a readiness to forgive. We know nothing and we do not know what is going to happen next. Life is pure adventure, life is art. We don't know when are cars will fail or buses will stall or whether places of employment will still be there when we arrive. Life is a journey.

Next Reading Journal

As i continue to read ransom the students held for ransom have now reached a small crudest hunting lodge/cabin. It is located very high in the mountains and it is extremely cold. The cabin is only a bit warmer then the outside. Bruce is now very scared from his positive thinking. Bruce was glad that his brother glenn was not watching him since glenn was never afraid of anything. I also now see how happy and privilaged he feels to have a older brother like glenn and how much and what he thinks of him. And how he shouldn't make his brother ashamed of him.

The next reading journal.

As i continue reading my book "ransom" the kidnappers wife says something she says "Buck, you didn't have to-"..
he replied buy saying "....we're clear you an i...."
i wonder what she meant?

Im thinking it would not even be worth kidnapping only five kids if your in for money. Its not even worth it. But so far i have no idea where they are trying to go with this.

The next event is that Dexter (one of the students) is stuck and cannot move from his very difficult position that he had to stay in for 3 hours. He is scared that the kidnappers think he is lying, well thats wat im thinking. I wonder if he was scared that they were gonna kill him or something, but he wasnt lying. But he ends up getting help from bruce and glenn which help him to get in the cabin.

Thats were i came to and end..

Reading Journal #3

The latest for the book ransom that i'm reading is that the kidnapping continues to go on and the kidnappers won't stop at any point from this part on. One of the students just has been thinking for what ever in heavens sake will she do and if the kidnappers expect money how will her mom provide it as not so well of as she is at the point. Wondering if her father will come to her rescue. Wondering if her mother and father will reach out to one another and fall back in love with each other once again. After she was done thinking of her thoughts the bus came to a stop and the unknown kidnappers were asking for the students to hope on this station wagon that was also held to a hault. All of sudden each of the student began to try to stand up for themselves which failed and where moved to the back of the station wagon. heading to some unknown direction not knowing where they where heading i put the book down.

As more and more events occur i begin to wonder what will ever happen next. This book has gotten my attention and interest to each and every word of book. I wonder if the students will come out alive. Or what will happen later on in the story. if they will be rescued or if anyone realize they have been kidnapped?
