Wow so, much has happened in the last few chapters of the book.
As for the escape plan it had became a complete failure when Buck had woken up and realized what was going on. This lead to the shot towards Dexters shoulder arm. Bruce and Glenn the two brothers had made for a dash towards the road and after Buck knew dexter was still alive he told Rita not to let Marianne and Jesse and Dexter in the cabin as a punishment while he was gone and heading after the two teenagers Bruce and Glenn. Marianne still was able to convince Rita to let them in the cabin to heal Dexter before it was to late. When Jesse was healing Dexter she found out about his undeveloped arm and suddenly realized so much about Dexter and to finish without any words she kissed him. In the meantime all of the Parents where thinking and having flashbacks of their kids, even Mr. Crete the guardian and uncle of Dexter was thinking of him so much lately and was beginning to have a feeling something wasnt right. Ms. French also go to realize how Jesse was the opposite of her and was never going to be like her and she can't believe whats going on and how this kidnapping took place. Another thing was the article on the frontpage of the newspaper how Mr. Godfrey the missing bus driver was murdered and also showed an article of the missing school bus along the rio grande. Another thing was Mariannes dad Jack Paget wouldn't help pay for the ransom because as soon as he heard the word money he clicked. Also Rod Donavan scheduled a meeting to give the kidnappers their money (which he has not collected) hoping to see Marianne and set up a plan to get her back without the Ransom. Another incident that occured was when Buck was driving after Bruce to run him over Buck drove off the cliff. Bruce found out one thing about his superman brother Glenn that he wasnt the same person the person he thought he was this so called god. He was empty. And while Bruce is going down the cliff to help Buck or to see if he was still alive, Glenn was going to go to the town for help.
